Fast and simple, this stir fry tastes amazing with very little effort put into it. It’s perfect for a quick weeknight meal.
Rice (amount depends on how many servings you need)
Frozen Harvest Vegetables (Or, your own carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, peas, etc)
Sandwich Steak, Sliced into strips
5 Cloves of Garlic, diced
Red Chili Flakes
Cook the rice as instructed. For a healthier alternative, make brown rice.
If you bought a ready made mix of Harvest Vegetables, steam them as directed. If you are using your own vegetables, steam them until they are at the texture you prefer.
In a bowl, mix all of the marinade ingredients together. The amount of each depends on your taste. If you want it to be spicy, be sure to add quite a bit of the chili flakes. If you want it sweeter, add more honey. If you feel like you put too much soy sauce, add a bit of the sugar. It all really depends on your preferences. I used about 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1/3 honey and Tbsp of Worcestershire Sauce. The sugar and flakes were added as I went along.
Coat the steak slices with the marinade and if you have time, leave it in the fridge for an hour or overnight. I had mine in the fridge while I prepared the rice and the veggies, which was enough time for it to soak in quite well, but it would’ve tasted even more amazing if I had time to let it marinate longer.
In a saucepan over medium heat, add the steak slices and allow them to cook through. I added chopped shallots to the pan but that is optional.
Once everything is done, place the rice in a bowl, add the veggies and the steak. Pour the juices from the steak and the marinade on top and serve.
It is easy, fast and delicious.
