We find so many reasons to be hateful towards each other. The smallest thing, sometimes an “imaginary” thing, can separate us. Status, religion, political views, where we live, our biased opinions- it never stops. Yet, during an event that only happens every so often, we all come out of our homes and it takes us away from our technology, away from everything that comes between us, whether we know it or not. We all stand together and look up at something that is bigger than us. But, each of our lives is “big”…whether you believe it or not- you’re here for a reason. We should all just be helping each other. Why does it take an event like this for us to accept standing next to each other peacefully? We can all look at the world in awe, every single day- but we don’t. We’re too busy being self absorbed and spending our time on things that won’t matter in the end. Many people said “Who cares? I’ll see this happen again in 2033.” You are not guaranteed any day. Live like it’s the last one you’ll have. People all over the entire world are staring up at the same moon that you are. It shouldn’t take a tragedy to bring us all together.
